In short: Track Atlas 3D is free, with no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. It does not collect personal data.
What stays in your browser
The site uses your browser's local storage (localStorage) for things you ask for: the language, your saved roads, the last road you opened, the map background, the 3D view settings, whether you have already seen the welcome screen, and temporary copies of public data (elevation, climate, routes, the list of circuits) so they don't have to be downloaded again.
This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time from your browser settings (site data). It only makes the features you use work, so no consent is needed.
External services
To show maps and data, your browser connects directly to third-party services. Like any website, they receive your IP address and the technical details of the request (browser, page). They only get what they need: the coordinates of the tracks, or the text you search for.
Hosting: Cloudflare, which serves the site and may keep technical logs and aggregate statistics without cookies.
Maps and imagery: OpenFreeMap, OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, Esri.
Places, routes and tracks: Nominatim (OpenStreetMap), OSRM, Overpass, Wikidata, Wikipedia.
Elevation and climate: Terrain Tiles (Amazon Web Services), Open-Meteo.
Heightmap download only: Sentinel-2 cloudless (EOX) and the public orthophotos of individual countries.
Libraries: Leaflet and Three.js from unpkg.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy.
Donations
The “Buy me a coffee” button opens Ko-fi in a new tab. The site loads nothing from Ko-fi until you press it. If you donate, your data is handled by Ko-fi (and PayPal or Stripe).
What we don't do
No cookies, no accounts, no advertising, no profiling. We don't sell or share any data.
Mappe e immagini: OpenFreeMap, OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, Esri.
Luoghi, percorsi e tracciati: Nominatim (OpenStreetMap), OSRM, Overpass, Wikidata, Wikipedia.
Quote e clima: Terrain Tiles (Amazon Web Services), Open-Meteo.
Librerie: Leaflet e Three.js da unpkg.
